Winners of the annual Showcase Awards were announced on the Inspiration Stage on the opening day of Showcase today by Suzy O’Keefe, Head of Digital & Communications at Design & Crafts Council Ireland and presented to the recipients by Mary Palmer, Chair of Showcase.
Design & Crafts Council Ireland Award – Éiru
Chosen by an industry experts including Tom Rooney, Head of Craft & Design, Local Enterprise Office; Mary Palmer, Chair of Showcase and Mary Blanchfield, Head of Operations, Design & Crafts Council Ireland, the winners represent the very best example of products at the show in a number of categories including Fashion, Home, Gift, Jewellery and Wellness.
Sustainability Award – Hanna’s Bees
The overall winner was also announced as well as the relatively new category - Sustainability - which was first introduced at last year's show. With the LEO Area an important aspect of Showcase and a great place for buyers to discover emerging brands, the Local Enterprise Office Award is also a key category at the event.
