A weekly edit of brands and products to look out for at Showcase 2024 including coats, notebooks and fashion jewellery.

Caroline Duffy
Caroline Duffy may be a relatively new eponymous brand for designer Caroline Duffy but the brand has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2021. Duffy studied at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin before working as a surface and textile designer for textiles houses in New York, Sydney and London.
The brand has quickly become synonymous with a joyous style that celebrates nature - flowers in particular in all their riotous colour. Having started her own business, Duffy initially began with wearable items including luxury scarves, dresses and kimonos but has now expanded her collection to include printed artworks, calendars and notebooks as well as home accessories including blankets.
Duffy’s notebooks feature digital prints of her original paintings on each cover while her ‘New Bloom’ blankets are made from woven cotton (70% recycled cotton). Combining form and function, the beautifully presented blankets feature a nostalgic flower and foliage design making them a statement piece for the home whether as a wall hanging or draped over a couch or bed.

Jack Murphy
Jack Murphy will be a familiar brand to visitors of Showcase as a third generation family business that has exhibited at the show many times in the past. The current Jack Murphy collection is stocked by eminent Irish retailers including Kilkenny Design, Weavers of Ireland and Foxford Woollen Mills as well as online.
Father and daughter team, Michael and Sarah Murphy, combine years of experience with a fresh new perspective and the brand represents the very best of modern Irish heritage design. Recent collections see a real elevation of this brand which is currently producing excellent quality, affordable, classic yet contemporary designs.
Known for its tailoring, interesting details and excellent fabrics, the Jack Murphy brand is fast becoming a go-to label for stylish yet functional clothing perfect for both county and city living - think tweed and waxed jackets, waterproof trench coats, beautiful woollen overcoats and Irish tweed culottes. Key colours include greys, greens, olive tones, muted browns and a hint of blue - the essence of the current trend for "quiet luxury".
Combining comfort and style, the Jack Murphy brand attracted plenty of buyers at Showcase 2023: “Showcase 2023 was a great success for us, we increased our sales from the previous year by 166%. We were able to reconnect with previous buyers of ours and also brought in some completely new retailers both in the US and Europe,” says Sarah Murphy. “It was a great show with everyone there ready and willing to buy and we were very happy with the sales. We completed nearly 40% of our AW23 forecast at Showcase last year.”
